Dave Dillwood   Dave Dillwood, CPA

Experience and Expertise:
I have been in public accounting since 1983, specializing in taxation. I started my career in San Jose, California during the technology boom of the early 1980’s before moving to Santa Rosa. I am a frequent speaker at professional and industry events in the areas of tax planning and accounting. I have written articles for the Journal of Taxation and The Tax Advisor, and am an expert witness in accounting and taxation matters in Alameda and Mendocino Counties. I have been chairperson of the California Society of CPA’s Wine Industry Conference Planning Committee seven times and have been a member for the Central Coast Wine Industry Conference every year since its inception.

Gary Burkel, CPA, CVA

Experience and Expertise: 
I specialize in auditing, accounting and business valuation services with a focus on real estate development, construction, manufacturing, farming, retail, and service industries. I hold a certification in business valuation and have prepared valuations for various industries in connection with estate filings, buy/sell agreements and for the sale of family owned businesses. I develop close relationships with my clients, advising them on business valuation, estate planning, budgeting and financial reporting.

Penny Millar   Penny Millar, CPARotary Logo

Experience and Expertise:
I began my own CPA firm in 1985 after working for Ernst & Young in Houston and San Francisco. In 2004 I merged my firm with DBM, adding accounting services to the practice. My specialty is providing accounting, tax and consulting services to small businesses and income tax preparation for individuals. I work with a wide variety of businesses and owners, including rental real estate, non-profit, professional services, retail, construction and trade associations. I provide training and support for QuickBooks users, such as setting up the database, invoicing, payables, journal entries and financials. My goal is to make sure there is an adequate system of internal controls, efficient accounting systems and good management reports.

Hobbies/Interests:
I love to travel and meet people from all over the world.  I have participated in many community service projects both domestically and internationally and have hosted exchange students from all over.  I enjoy the fresh air of the high Sierras, camping under the majesty of the Redwoods, and hiking on innumerable trails here in Sonoma County.   My husband and I are wine-making hobbyists and enjoy sharing a nice meal and a bottle of wine with friends.

Experience and Expertise:  
My career has focused on working with individuals and businesses with special emphasis in real estate matters. I enjoy listening to clients explain their issues and challenges, and then help find creative solutions that really work!  I actually enjoy researching complex tax issues and helping clients achieve their realistic financial objectives.

I have a broad variety of interests. A generalist of everything….a bit of a trivia buff. Music, Baseball (Go Giants!), Art, Numismatics, and enjoying the many unique aspects of living in the San Francisco bay area. This is truly an amazing place to live. Sharing meaningful experiences with family and friends.

 

Christina Hollingsworth   Christina Z. Hollingsworth, CPA

Experience and Expertise:  
I started my public accounting career in the Bay Area with Arthur Andersen and Deloitte & Touche over 12 years ago.  I have been providing auditing, accounting and consulting services for small to medium size businesses in the North Bay Area since 2005.  Prior to joining DBM, I was an assurance service manager at Pisenti & Brinker LLP and led the firm’s nonprofit practice group.  In addition to my specialty in nonprofit accounting and auditing, I also work closely with my clients in a variety of industries with accounting and financial reporting issues. I find it most rewarding to offer my clients with up-to-date industry specific accounting guidance, to assist them with analyzing their business through accurate accounting records, and becoming part of their success stories.
